Knowledge and understanding basic and intermediate preventative maintenance and repair techniques of Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles to include tank trailer inspection and maintenance related to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations is required.</p>\n<p><strong><u><br>Essential Functions</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Train/assist other technicians in performing preventive/repair of facilities and equipment to include trucks, tractors and trailers.</li>\n<li>Create and complete work order entries. Maintain work order and vehicle maintenance records.</li>\n<li>Conduct all levels of preventive maintenance functions such as regular servicing of vehicles including oil changes, and equipment inspections.</li>\n<li>Electrical diagnostics, repair and replacement.</li>\n<li>Lead and/or assist with the physical parts inventory, receiving and proper charge out of parts to work orders.</li>\n<li>Learn and become proficient utilizing the company's maintenance software program to create and complete work orders.</li>\n<li>Performs general cleaning and repair duties.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School diploma or equivalent required</li>\n<li>Minimum 1 year of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance &amp; repair</li>\n<li>Air brake certification in compliance with FMCSR 396.25</li>\n<li>Certified as a (DOT) commercial motor vehicle inspector in compliance with FMCSRs</li>\n<li>Valid drivers license</li>\n<li>Basic computer knowledge</li>\n<li>Basic set of technician tools in accordance with KAG's list</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>HM183 Technicians Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prior maintenance, testing of 306/406/307/407 Tank trailers</li>\n<li>Verifiable proof of 3 years of tank testing (HM) inspector experience</li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance, repair and compliance</li>\n<li>Prior maintenance and installation of over fill Systems for bottom loading trailers</li>\n</ul>\n<br><em>We want you to have a career with the rewarding professional and community experiences you desire, in a place that feels like home.
